Matriq-Six is a software instrument for Microsoft Windows (VST2/VST3/CLAP/AAX) and Apple macOS (VST2/VST3/CLAP/AU/AAX) simulating the classic Oberheim Matrix 6R synthesizer from 1985. It is written in native C++ code for high performance and low CPU consumption.
Matriq-Six models the original 6809 CPU and hardware. The ROM version used is v2.15 by Bob Grieb at TaunTek.com.
I do not provide a manual for Matriq-Six. Get your own copy of the Matrix 6R Owner's Manual – you will need it!
If you want to load any patches, you have to send them via MIDI SysEx to the device. Ah, and some functions like Tape Import/Export might not work.
Of course, Matriq-Six sounds nothing like the hardware, and especially the filters are crap. That said I hope that all the non-nitpickers will have fun with it.🙂
